Every once in awhile it is good to get out of the city. My husband and I moved to Seattle in 1999 and every year we have gone to the tulip festival in LaConner, WA. We love bringing home bunches and bunches of tulips direct from the fields. I love this festival as it is basically just a walk through tulip fields. It is super laid back and not over commercialized.
Check out the
Tulip Festival website they have a map that will show you all the fields you can hit up and then there is alway one formal garden we go to called Roozengaarde. It is a $4 admission but they have a display of every type of tulip you can imagine. Runs April 1 - 30 so go soon before they cut them!
