How could we have written this blog for so long without including Archie McPhee's? This place is a Seattle institution - toys and lots of great weird stuff. It's just super fun to wander and then finally pick the piece that you just can't do without. On my most recent visit mine was the Starving Turtle plates below - why they spoke to me who knows!
Around since 1993 with a few different locations it now resides in Wallingford. I think I'll just include some photos as it is one of those places is better explained with photos! Oh Wallingford is a good neighborhood to wander too!

Jessie Oleson is the creator of CakeSpy.com, a dessert detective agency dedicated to seeking sweetness in everyday life. What does this mean, exactly? Basically that she writes about, thinks about, and draws illustrations of desserts all day--and gets paid for it. Booyea! She lives in the Central District with her husband Danny, their pug Porkchop, and two guinea pigs, Falafel and Hot Pocket.
Sally Brock is the Boss and TV star of Fancy. Fancy features over 30 local artists and designers, and specializes in custom wedding rings, handmade with recycled precious metals and repurposed or fair trade gemstones. Located just south of Schmancy & Nancy downtown.
